May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I have needed every day of it. I have had to slow down and in some cases stop altogether.

We don't want anyone else's anything, we want our own. We've earned that much.

It will take time, but I am prayerful that the United States will return to a position of power with wisdom and grace in tow.

I am a fervent believer that anytime I am brought to my knees, I pray. After I pray, I walk, because faith without works is dead.

It's okay if you aren't just like Rep. John Lewis, but you are here, and you can do something. Make the ancestors proud!

Do something constructive with your anger. Pray first, then act on something good and useful. Faith without works is dead, so get going!

The unfortunate reality is that we are being systematically oppressed. We are tired!
